Lab members
Nikhil Sharma (BS, Johns Hopkins University, PhD, Harvard University, Assistant Professor), 2021-
Nikhil received his B.S. in Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University in 2009. There he worked on the development of sympathetic neurons. He then went to Harvard University and earned a Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Michael E. Greenberg in Molecular and Cellular Biology studying the transcriptional mechanisms leading to neuronal activity induced gene expression as well as their contribution to synaptic development. He then performed postdoctoral research on the development of sensory neuron subtypes and using this information to decipher what types of sensory information each neuronal subtype encodes. He then established his independent research group at Columbia University studying the basic biology underlying the peripheral nervous system function
Pranav Reddy (BS, Johns Hopkins University, Research Assistant), 2021-
Pranav received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. There he worked at the Center for Cell dynamics in the lab of Bin Wu in the School of Medicine.
David Shi (BS, Johns Hopkins University, Ph.D. Student) 2021-
David received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2021. There he worked in the Institute of Nanobiotechnology and the Center of Imaging Science, Mathematical Analysis of Neuroimaging of the Cerebral Brain Laboratory.
